You're probably better off downloading the .iso and use GNS3 or EVE, anyway

No, it does not work, cannot work without license. The ISO can be used to extract images that can be used in EVE-NG, GNS3, VMWare etc.

just FYI

for anyone having the previous version 2.2.1 you do not need to download 2.2.2 or this 2.2.3 as they are just maintenance fixes. unless of course you have license to use it.

the images that you want for gns3, eve etc are in 2.2.1 iso file.

Provides access to images, without the need to purchase a license.

Provides virtual lab environment, with purchase of a license.
