Now under tools>licensing click register and click here under If your Smart Account is authorized for License Reservations and you wish to reserve licenses and click YES, MY SMART ACCOUNT IS LICENSE RESERVATION ENABLED and click GENERATE RESERVATION REQUEST CODE and Click to SAVE TO FILE and Cancel the window. 10. Now click the ENTER RESERVATION CODE and click the attach file icon and select the license.txt file Now click INSTALL AUTHORIZATION CODE. That's it. 11. If you are denied with error "The license or authorization code was previously installed: Failed to complete reservation," change any digit under <signature> Enjoy. gukguk84 Posted July 8 Posted July 8 (edited) I have just tested on my existing CML 2.9 that has real personal license. - Ensure that telemetry is disabled > Upgraded to 2.10 > Deregister > Skip Phase 1 & 2 and jump to Phase 3 to upload the libsmartunified.so > reboot - Once reboot get the value of S & U and populate the license.txt file and follow Phase 4, the activation was successful. Reminder: Do verify the telemetry again because it was disabled before upgrade, but after activation, for some reason it was enabled and I have to disable it accordingly. The rest of the lab, nodes and image are working as it should. Edited July 8 by gukguk84

I'm installing version 2.10 and When I try to enter the reservation Authorization Code, I get the following error: Has anyone else encountered this. What do I do about this? ccnp Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Hi, Any experience upgrading to new 2.10.1? I upgraded 2.10 to 2.10.1 and lost the license.
ThatITGuy Posted October 21 Posted October 21 (edited) Has anyone been able to get to 2.10.1 without losing the license? I noticed in the release notes for 2.10.1 "Enhanced Security: Includes multiple security hardening improvements across CML components." I can't help but wonder if they have patched the crack.
