Hay daniel88, I was using 2.9 and then uninstalled :). Just follow the OP steps, except when you have to patch
the way tokezo87 has mentioned. search online hex editor, I used the first one, upload the file and look for the two offsets, patch it the way tokezo87 suggested,
reupload the way OP has mentioned. Reload the lab. and login
per your error message : [{"location": ["body", "token"], "type": "string_pattern_mismatch", "message": "String should match pattern '
I think the token and SN do not match, see OP's license part. Hope that helps.

In that step do a space anywhere in the code and then remove it, and try again.
