OVA+ISO havenot

Appreciated either way..

For some reason I've not been able to get the OVA for 183 to boot on XCP or citrix when imported, xoa imports w/out complaints but wont boot uefi or bios; xencenter/xcp-ng center complain that it's missing a link mentioning the ISO but still will import but wont boot; offers option for fixup but that doesn't help either..

That's why I was hoping for all formats; unless anyone else has suggestions? It does boot in vmware station player though..having the OVA+ISO would surely be helpful though, especially ISO!

Might be able to figure something out using vmware, maybe re-export after install or something? 😢

Edit: Imported ova into vmware; imported vmdk to xcp; booted. Done. PITA.

Edit 2: Hm. vmdk wasn't quite right buuut vmware after import had the ISO in it's vm's dir; so I guess I have ISO? Still working on it 🙂

Guess anyone can extract ISO from OVA w/vmware (even free player workstation) .. didn't know the OVA was structured that way..

Edit 3: My solution was to load the OVA with vmware workstation player. Before even booting it, navigate to the VM's folder and you'll see a bootable ISO file; not 100% sure but this might be the exact same as the ISO you can download from Cisco - it's at least quite similar if not 100% exact. For myself, using XCP-ng/Xen/Citrix Hypervisor, I had to also import the VMDK to use as the disk for the VM as creating a fresh disk for the VM didn't work. But it's definitely possible to get it running on Xen or others from the OVA, even if importing the OVA with XenCenter/XCP-ng Center/XOA doesn't work.

Also, seems like once you have a vWLC running, you can use the AES files to upgrade. I also wasn't aware of this at first, so turns out that these AES files are indeed still also useful to me!

Thanks for posting the AES regardless! Hopefully someone can post the others.

I'm in need for AIR-AP1830-K9-8-5-182-0.tar, can you help me with that?

Why u use 8-5 version but not 8-10 ? AIR-AP1830-K9-8-5-182-0.tar  is very old 31-Aug-2021 and to my mind should not be used.  Cisco recommends AIR-AP1830-K9-8-10-185-0.tar  24-Mar-2023 , and there is already a version AIR-AP1830-K9-8-10-190-0.tar  30-Sep-2023.  These  both versions are free access  for download on the cisco site
