Hi guys, urgently looking for Nexus 5k/6k image files 7.3(8)N1(1) .. I need this for an intermediate upgrade and can't find it anywhere.

n6000-uk9.7.3.8.N1.1.bin

I found the kickstart image already, just need the system image name above. Thank you ❤️

One man  upgraded Cisco Nexus 3048 successfully   ( firmware was 6.0(2)U5(2) )  by this pathes:                           
                                                                        
    n3000-uk9.6.0.2.U6.2a.bin        with kickstart           
    n3000-uk9.6.0.2.U6.10.bin        with kickstart        
    n3000-compact.9.3.9.bin                      
    n3000-compact.9.3.13.bin      

For  u nexus 3548   with 6.0.2.A8.11b  other  versions  r not  in cisco site, then u can begin with 7.0(3)I3(3),  

bcos version  7.0(3)I3(1)  r not in cisco site  too.  

P.S.

Read  manual about how to boot when upgrade fail.

For  Nexus 3048  was such  procedure:

How to boot when an update fails?
Hold CTRL+L when a message appears and enter the bootloader
Code:
loader> boot bootflash:nxos.XXX_compact.bin

After rebooting install all nxos bootflash: nxos.XXX

Nexus 3000, 3100, and 3500 NX-OS Compact Image Procedure
This document describes the steps used to reduce the file size of an NX-OS binary image file on Cisco Nexus 3000, 3100, and 3500 Series switches.

            

I was able to jump directly from 6.0.2.A8.11b to 9.2.1. This was the procedure:

  • downlaod nxos.9.2.1.bin (find it on the Web)
  • compact using
    • copy scp://USER@HOST/PATH/TO/nxos.9.2.1.bin bootflash: compact
  • directly install (show impact won't work for 6.x to 7.x) using
    • install all nxos bootflash:9.2.1.bin
  • wait for reboot, then run and accept all defaults
    • setup
  • power cycle the switch to upgrade the Power-seq upgrade

That's it, quite simple 🙂
