@manofringThank you for your great work. I have ideal study environment and brilliant examples to learn. 

One question though. I don't understand why in the ansible.cfg you put only the following:

This is the hidden content, please

• or
• Sign Up

why there is no reference to the local user roles folder ? Should not be there added something like ~/ansible/roles/ ? On the other hand roles seem to be working in your examples, so maybe it is as it is and it was not necessary. Appreciate any answer explaing me this.

roles_path = roles

its relative path from current position ansible.cfg - its a dir roles around local ansible.cfg in ur current project dir (/home/greg/ansible)

/etc/ansible/roles - its stock ansible roles path from global file /etc/ansible/ansible.cfg - u may drop it noprob

/usr/share/ansible/roles - this is role path for rhel_roles

qustions?

P.S.

if u make project dir - it is container to ur playbooks, dont use global paths, use only local, for portability

any data in ur project: files, ansible.cfg, vars,roles etc placed in project dir, all data accesible from relative path - for portability
