Ok, it makes sense if that the port wouldn't open if the peer wasn't configured, but how would this output rule out the possibility of a firewall blocking tcp179? Seems like both answers could be true here.

I'm puzzled as to why this answer is marked as correct. It would seem that the unsuccessful telnet attempt would indicate that a firewall is blocking TCP179 unless I'm missing something else. I'd appreciate some clarification for this answer. Thanks!
